Ready for your server: Freecam has versions for Fabric, NeoForge and Forge. Create your world with one of those loaders and a version from the table below. The newest option is NeoForge on Minecraft 26.3.

What Freecam does

A highly customizable freecam mod.

This mod allows you to control your camera separately from your player. While it is enabled, you can fly around and travel through blocks within your render distance. Disabling it will restore you to your original position. This can be useful for quickly inspecting builds and exploring your world.

Does it go on the server or on players' games?

Freecam is a client-only mod: it doesn't run on the server. Each player installs it in their own Minecraft if they want it. Add it in the panel as "Players only" and it ships inside everyone's modpack.

How to add Freecam to your server

  1. Open the panel and create a world with a compatible loader and Minecraft version (Fabric, NeoForge and Forge, per the table above), or open one you already have.
  2. In the world's "Mods" section, search for Freecam in the Modrinth catalog. You'll only see what works with your world.
  3. Add it with the "Players only" option, the one the panel suggests for this mod.
  4. Start or restart the server so it installs.
  5. Ask your friends to download the .mrpack modpack from the panel again.

Not sure about client vs. server mods? Read the modded server guide. What each size costs is on the pricing page. Prices in Mexican pesos (MXN).

Frequently asked questions

Which loader and Minecraft version does Freecam work with?

Freecam has versions for Fabric: 1.16.2 to 26.3 (35 versions); NeoForge: 1.20.4 to 26.3 (19 versions); Forge: 1.16.2 to 1.20.4 (15 versions). You pick the loader and version when you create your world; the newest option is NeoForge on Minecraft 26.3. The panel's catalog only shows Freecam if it has a version for your world.

Do players have to install Freecam?

Freecam is a client-only mod: it doesn't run on the server. Each player installs it in their own Minecraft if they want it. Add it in the panel as "Players only" and it ships inside everyone's modpack.

What other mods does Freecam need?

Its latest version (NeoForge) doesn't require any other mods on Modrinth: just add Freecam and you're set.

Is it worth adding Freecam to the server if it's client-only?

Yes, as a convenience. It does nothing on the server, but if you add it as "Players only", it ships inside the .mrpack modpack and everyone gets it without searching. It uses no server resources.
