Most Minecraft hosts charge you a fixed plan, even if your server sits empty all week. Not Picoserver.
- Pay only when you play: the server is billed per minute while it is on.
- It shuts itself down when nobody is connected, so you never pay for a whole night you forgot about.
- Your world stays saved on its own disk for a few pesos a month.
Every number is below. They are the same ones the system uses to bill you, not window-display prices.
Prices in Mexican pesos (MXN).
Pick your size: price per hour
The size is your server's RAM. More RAM = more mods, more friends and a longer view distance, without the world lagging.
| Size | RAM | Best for | Per hour | Balance to create it |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small | 4 GB | Vanilla or a few mods, 2–4 players | $1.77 MXN | $43 MXN |
| Medium | 8 GB | Medium modpacks, up to ~8 players | $3.36 MXN | $54 MXN |
| Large | 16 GB | Heavy modpacks or lots of players | $6.53 MXN | $69 MXN |
What you pay even when you don't play (not much)
- Your world's disk: $40.40 MXN a month. That is where your world, mods and backups live. It is charged even while the server is off, because everything stays saved.
- Fixed address (optional): $135.05 MXN a month. Without it, the address changes every time you start the server (you see it in the panel). With it, your friends always join at
yourname.mc.ericksilva.com.mx. - Minimum top-up: $100 MXN. After setting aside the first month of storage, it covers about 33 hours of play on a Small server.
What would you pay per month? It depends on how much you play
The table already includes the month's storage. Hours are the time the server is on. Since it shuts down by itself once everyone leaves, you never pay for empty hours.
| Hours per week | Small (4 GB) | Medium (8 GB) | Large (16 GB) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 h | $55.74 | $78.85 | $118.75 |
| 5 h | $78.75 | $122.53 | $203.64 |
| 10 h | $117.10 | $195.33 | $345.13 |
| 20 h | $193.80 | $340.93 | $628.09 |
| 40 h | $347.20 | $632.13 | $1,194.03 |
| On 24/7 (730 h a month) | $1,332.50 | $2,502.53 | $4,829.06 |
See that last row? That is why a pay as you go Minecraft server makes sense for almost any group of friends. A server that sits empty Monday through Thursday shouldn't cost the same as one packed all day.

How billing works, step by step
- Top up your balance by card or at OXXO. No subscription and no automatic charges.
- While the server is on, it is deducted minute by minute. Under “Balance” you see your usage per day and per server.
- Storage (and the fixed address, if you have it) is deducted in small amounts throughout the month, on or off.
- Data your friends download: $3.33 MXN per GB. Each player uses roughly 0.1 to 0.3 GB per hour of play: a few cents per hour. Playing solo or with a few friends, that is a few pesos a month.
- It shuts itself down: after starting you get a 1-minute grace period, and if 6 minutes pass with nobody connected, it turns off. Zero empty hours.
Which size is right for you?
- Small (4 GB): vanilla or a few light mods, 2 to 4 players.
- Medium (8 GB): the sweet spot for mid-size modpacks and groups of up to about 8 people.
- Large (16 GB): heavy tech or “kitchen sink” modpacks with hundreds of mods, or lots of players exploring at once.
Not sure? Start with Small or Medium. Changing size takes a couple of clicks and you never lose your world. The modded server guide tells you how much RAM each kind of modpack needs.
Everything included, no “premium” tiers
The same price gets you the full panel. Nothing locked behind a plan:
- Live console and any Minecraft version: vanilla, Fabric, Forge or NeoForge.
- Bedrock servers, and Bedrock players on your Java world, at the same price.
- Modrinth mod catalog and a
.mrpackmodpack download for your players. - Multiple worlds per server, each with its own version, mods and
server.properties. - Whitelist, operators, world import and export, and daily backups.
- Team roles and player registration from inside the game.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a Minecraft server cost per month?
It depends on how much you play. A Medium server running 10 hours a week comes to about $195.33 MXN a month, storage included. Just weekends, around 5 hours on a Small? About $78.75 MXN.
Do I pay while the server is off?
Only for the disk that keeps your world: $40.40 MXN a month, deducted a little at a time. If you turned on the fixed address, add $135.05 MXN a month. The expensive part, actually running the server, is only charged while it is on.
What is the minimum top-up?
$100 MXN. To create your first server you need about $43 MXN of balance (one month of storage plus one hour of play). In other words, the minimum top-up already gets you going.
How do I pay?
You top up your balance from the panel by card or with cash at OXXO; payments are processed by Stripe. We never keep your card for automatic charges: your balance only goes up when you top it up.
What happens if I run out of balance?
The server shuts down so you never end up in debt. Top up and start it again from the panel. Your world is waiting for you, untouched.
Can I change the size later?
Yes. Switch between Small, Medium and Large from the panel whenever you like. The new hourly price applies from that moment and your world stays exactly the same.
Are there per-player or per-mod fees?
No. Only the size and the time it is on count. Mods, loader (Fabric, Forge or NeoForge), Minecraft version, Java or Bedrock (with crossplay for phones and consoles), worlds, daily backups and team members: all at no extra cost.
