Does it go on the server or on players' games?

Continuity is a client-only mod: it doesn't run on the server. Each player installs it in their own Minecraft if they want it. Add it in the panel as "Players only" and it ships inside everyone's modpack.

What other mods it needs

The latest version of Continuity (Fabric) needs these mods. No need to hunt them down: the panel adds them for you.

How to add Continuity to your server

  1. Open the panel and create a world with a compatible loader and Minecraft version (Fabric, NeoForge and Forge, per the table above), or open one you already have.
  2. In the world's "Mods" section, search for Continuity in the Modrinth catalog. You'll only see what works with your world.
  3. Add it with the "Players only" option, the one the panel suggests for this mod.
  4. Start or restart the server so it installs along with its dependencies.
  5. Ask your friends to download the .mrpack modpack from the panel again.

Frequently asked questions

Which loader and Minecraft version does Continuity work with?

Continuity has versions for Fabric: 1.17.1 to 26.3 (31 versions); NeoForge: 1.21.1; Forge: 1.20.1. You pick the loader and version when you create your world; the newest option is Fabric on Minecraft 26.3. The panel's catalog only shows Continuity if it has a version for your world.

Do players have to install Continuity?

Continuity is a client-only mod: it doesn't run on the server. Each player installs it in their own Minecraft if they want it. Add it in the panel as "Players only" and it ships inside everyone's modpack.

What other mods does Continuity need?

Its latest version (Fabric) requires Fabric API. No need to hunt them down: the panel installs them automatically when you add Continuity, in the version that matches your world.

Is it worth adding Continuity to the server if it's client-only?

Yes, as a convenience. It does nothing on the server, but if you add it as "Players only", it ships inside the .mrpack modpack and everyone gets it without searching. It uses no server resources.
